The Great Enlightenment Buddhist Institute Society (GEBIS) had an idea. A big, ambitious idea. GEBIS wanted to create a cross-cultural arts festival that would invite artists from around the world to gather and experience our diverse cultures through the Arts. The goal was that by learning and appreciating different cultures, we would realize we are more alike than we are different.
The Cool Moon Cross-Cultural Arts Festival took place over two days on the Confederation Centre of the Arts’ Main Stage, and it was preceded by a number of pop-up events across Prince Edward Island.
TechnoMedia had only three weeks to pull together marketing and execution for the inaugural festival. We worked closely with the wonderful team from GEBIS and event organizer Ray Brow, and provided a wide variety of marketing collateral including a robust social media campaign to get the word out and fill seats within an extremely short timeframe.
This project was an incredible experience from start to finish. The Cool Moon Cross-Cultural Arts Festival shows were successful at bringing communities together via a shared experience. We are looking forward to next year’s event with more lead time so we can help grow the festival. Thank you to Ray Brow and the Great Enlightenment Buddhist Institute Society for this wonderful event.
