Print VS Online

Here’s a great article about why print is still important, supported by an academic study presented at the annual meeting of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication called “Medium Matters: Newsreaders’ Recall and Engagement With Online and Print Newspapers“, by Arthur D. Santana, Randall Livingstone, and Yoon Cho of the University of Oregon. It compares reading the print edition of the New York Times with reading the online edition and which of the two mediums has the most impact on the reader. One group was given the paper edition while the second group was given the online edition. They were given 20 minutes of reading time and then asked to complete a short survey.
