Online forms are great. We love them, right? They make everything so much easier for both the User and you. Except for one little thing.
There is no guarantee you will successfully receive an email notification when someone submits a form from your website. Here’s why.
Your website’s online forms gather User information. That information goes directly onto the webserver in a dashboard where you can see a clear overview of everyone who has contacted you. So much better than hundreds of loose emails. You can log into the content management system of your website and see them there. It’s great!
Then WordPress tries to send a notification to your email. So it then leaves the webserver and starts its journey. But, it’s up to the mail server, as well as the recipient’s mail server, to complete the sending of the email. We don’t have any control over the delivery process once the email leaves the webserver.
That’s why we always recommend logging in to your website and checking the Forms dashboard.
Want to better your chances? For online form submission notifications, use an email with the same domain as your website.
